HAD has executed water projects in many countries including Chad, Yemen and Sudan where drinking water is much needed. Such projects are built in areas where local women spend most of their day time in search for drops of water just enough to kill children's thirst, let alone water needed for domestic animals.
Sudan Telecommunication Company (Sudatel), Sudan's first cell phone company (Mobitel) and the British MGR as well as other donors are HAD's partners in providing water services.
Through this partnership over 30 water projects are well in operation. In Sudan HAD's water services cover 10 out of the 25 Sudanese states.
Since most of the inter-tribal conflicts in many African countries are basically over meager water resources, HAD’s water-resources program aims at bringing about an equal sharing of water resources.
By so doing poor communities are to resettle around water resources ending up living in peace, stability, and bidding a farewell to war and displacement.
